Meghan became a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist because she believes balanced nutrition is the key to disease prevention and optimal health. She is dedicated to helping others improve their quality of life through healthy food choices and lifestyle changes.
After completing a Masters of Science in Biology, Meghan began her career as a research scientist then quikcly realized her passion for nutrition education and counseling. She has over 15 years of experience coaching clients for weight management, diabetes education, and other nutrition related issues.
As a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist she offers skilled nutrition counseling for diabetes and has helped hundreds of clients improve their blood sugar through diet and lifestyle changes.
In addition to weight and diabetes management, she has extensive experience counseling clients on other topics related to nutrition including, but not limited to, heart disease, gastrointestinal disorders, cancer, pregnancy, picky eating, thyroid disorders, sports nutrition, vegetarian/vegan diets, food allergies/intolerances, and nutrition for older adults.
Meghan focuses on translating what is often confusing scientific nutrition information into practical, useful tips. She offers personalized meal plans so her clients will know what they can eat, not just what to avoid. Understanding the importance of intuitive eating, feeling body positive, and finding satisfaction from eating delicious foods can and should be goals of healthy eating. Meghan works with her clients to educate and guide them through the process. She is recognized for her ability to connect with her clients, making them feel comfortable and empowers them to reach their individual health goals.
